1. Scope and who we are
This Privacy Notice applies to rideopssystems.com and the RideOps interactive demonstration (the “Site”). RideOps Systems is a Karnig Ventures project. This notice does not govern a future customer’s separately owned RideOps installation, which must have privacy terms reflecting that operator’s actual practices.
2. Information associated with the Site
Depending on how you use the Site, the following categories may be involved:
- Information you send us: your name, email address, business details, phone number, message, and any other information you voluntarily include when contacting us.
- Routine technical information: internet protocol address, browser or device type, requested page, timestamps, referring page, and security or diagnostic events that our hosting, network, or email providers may process to deliver and protect the Site.
- Browser-local demo information: fictional route, vehicle, passenger-count, luggage, date, time, status, driver, payment-state, and sample-reservation selections stored in your browser’s local storage.
Do not submit payment-card details, government identifiers, health information, confidential business records, or real passenger/customer information through the demo.
3. How information is used
We may use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate potential customer needs, provide requested sales information, operate and secure the Site, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, maintain records, comply with law, and establish or defend legal claims.
Demo information is used by your browser to provide the interactive experience. RideOps does not currently use an application database to receive those demo records.
4. Local storage, cookies, and analytics
The demo uses local storage under the key rideops-demo-reservations so sample reservations remain available on the same browser. You can remove them with the demo’s “Reset demo” control or your browser’s site-data controls.
RideOps does not currently use advertising cookies, targeted-advertising pixels, or its own analytics scripts on this Site. Infrastructure providers may use strictly necessary technologies or process request information to host, route, protect, and troubleshoot the Site.
5. When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information to service providers that support hosting, security, communications, and professional services; when required by law or legal process; to protect rights, safety, and security; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of business assets.
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising.
6. Retention
Browser-local demo records remain on your device until you reset the demo, clear site data, or the browser removes them. We retain direct communications and related business records only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security. Hosting and security providers may keep technical records under their own retention practices.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You may choose not to email us and should avoid including unnecessary personal information. You can clear browser-local demo data at any time.
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information, or to appeal a decision concerning a request. Send requests to Sales@KarnigVentures.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting.
8. Security and international access
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the Site’s current limited information practices. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States or other locations where service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
9. Children
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Site. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
10. Third-party services and future customer sites
Email clients, hosting providers, and any linked third-party services have their own privacy practices. This notice does not apply to them.
A production RideOps installation may connect to a transportation operator’s booking, payment, mapping, messaging, calendar, or accounting providers. Those services are not active in this public demo. Before any customer launch, the operator and RideOps must publish disclosures that match the approved configuration and respective responsibilities.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this notice as the Site or our practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Materially different uses of previously collected information will be addressed as required by applicable law.
Questions or privacy requests may be sent to Sales@KarnigVentures.com.
